We had a terrible experience with this property and feel completely misled and unsafe. 1. False Advertising: The Expedia listing clearly stated “Entire Place,” but we later found out the owner lives downstairs. That is not an entire place. This should have been disclosed upfront. 2. Serious Safety Issues: The front door didn’t lock properly and there was no chain or latch from the inside. We didn’t feel safe for a second—especially knowing the owner could walk in at any time. That is absolutely unacceptable. 3. No Vetting: After expressing concern, we were told there are no background checks on the owner living below us. So now we’re in an unsecured property, sharing space with a stranger who hasn’t been vetted. Great.
