"The room was very spacious, comfortable, and clean. We had a view of the river from our window, which was nice. The back deck area on the river was a bonus, even if we didn't get to use it as we were away hiking most of our stay. It is a little far from town (you have to take a taxi or bus which are difficult to determine schedules for), but it is very near the Haweomsa Temple, the start of our hike. The lady at the front desk was very helpful."

Restaurants and stores are a bit far away but walking/taxi/bus/subway are your options. I like walking so it was fine. There are some parks to exercise nearby too.
