Top Seneca Rocks Hotel Reviews
The Hermitage Inn and Taphouse
10/10 Excellent
"Nice place. Room was comfortable and spacious. TV was a little tricky but with patience and perseverance I figured out I needed the confidence boost anyway after the 6,000 steps at Blackwater Falls. 👍👍"

Charming 3-bedroom 5 bed hottub cabin WiFi in scenic Seneca Rocks West Virginia
10/10 Excellent
"We had a nice stay! The property was very nice and it was close to the creek for fishing! We had a great time! The host was very friendly and accessible at all times."
Garagemahal! Trails and waterfalls right out the door, forested and quiet.
10/10 Excellent
"The Garagemahal is wonderful! The location cannot be beat. Chip and Laurie were helpful and friendly hosts, fixing a small thing very quickly when we reached out. Even though their house is nearby, they provided plenty of space and privacy and made us feel very welcome to enjoy the home and property. The home was clean, comfortable, and spacious, equipped with useful essentials. The deck is huge - great for outdoor meals and relaxing with a view of the large yard and forest that leads to mountain and valley trails, or the dark sky (we saw 5 shooting stars on our last night!). There's a firepit and access to miles of trails, including one that starts at the edge of the yard and runs uphill along a creek with several very pretty small waterfalls within the first half mile or so. The location is amazing, right in Canaan Valley National Wildlife Refuge (the popular Freeland Boardwalk Trail is on the way - listen and look there for frogs, beavers, birds, and balsam fir trees), very close to Canaan Valley Resort State Park, and not too far to Dolly Sods Wilderness, Davis and Blackwater Falls State Park, and more. We couldn't imagine a better place to stay for our outdoorsy vacation week!"

1BR cabin plus loft sleeps 5 fantastic views
10/10 Excellent
"We booked a last minute trip to get out of the stifling heat/humidity and this location did not disappoint. The cabin was clean and the kitchen looks to be newly renovated and well stocked with all you could need including spices/oils/blender/coffee maker/toasters etc. The beds were comfortable and the water pressure was good as well. The cabin is located at the end of the road so there is plenty of privacy and stunning views of the valley/horses/pond etc. Really a great place to relax and unwind. We did not use the resort amenities, though we checked them out and they were in good working order. My husband thoroughly enjoyed fishing in the nearby pond. The resort property appears to be under renovation which will help keep it in good shape for years to come. It's 10 minutes to just about everywhere."
Cozy cabin in lovely Seneca Rocks WV with WiFi, smart TVs and jucuzzi tub

"I gave 4 out of 5 only bc we thought by the picture of Seneca Rocks that we would be able to see it from the cabin and that's not possible. The cabin was amazing. We were in cabin 4 and it was exactly as advertised. There is no soap mentioned and although there was hand soap, dish soap, shampoo and conditioner there was no body wash and the shampoo was almost gone probably bc guests before us washed their bodies like we did. The cabin was basically soundproof as we heard nothing but birds nesting nearby as the AC units in the window were loud but did keep the cabins nice and cool. My husband also thought we would be able to see the river from the cabin and although it is a nice short walk you can't even hear it at the campfire. There was a few fire pits to use along with firewood that you pay for. There is a play structure and a volleyball net as well as a shaded area with a bar and bar stools and TV as well as a cute gazebo. The campground is small enough to walk around and would be a great place to meet multiple families and every family has their own cabin. We were disappointed there were no chairs on the porch to sit on there in the evening but behind cabins 4 - 8 there are seats that are not covered. My husband was also disappointed there was not a toaster as advertised. Overall we had a great time reconnecting with each other and exploring the area. We would stay here again now knowing what to expect."

"It was fine but not as nice as expected or advertised. Dirty floors/carpet (our socks turned black). The beds were nice. Generally comfy with extra blankets. The water pressure is very low in the shower."
