"So the area seems sketchy. The hotel is a bit rundown. But the staff was really nice and for a cheap overnight stay is wasn’t bad. Slept fine (very thin blanket excluded) but we only needed a place to sleep for a few hours. Served its purpose. Again the staff was super nice "

"The Holbrook Hotel is always a wonderful experience with big, beautiful rooms that are so clean and comfortable. The location is great for downtown and Averett University. Can walk across the street to Crema & Vine (lovely coffee and wine cafe) or down the street to delicious King Cropp for dinner. Also, parking is free and super easy! And they’re now pet friendly in one of the buildings! This hotel is my first choice in Danville. "
