Very unique concept. Lots of climbing and stairs to get to your bubble. Leave most of your luggage behind in the car. A headboard to keep your pillows from falling off and nightstands would be helpful.
A very unique experience in a secluded part of Iceland. The bubble was private, warm, and gave great views. The property was clean, had all necessary facilities and had a warm ambience.
It was really a magical experience! The woods were like an old European forest and provided plenty of privacy. There was a short hike to get to the bubble though so pack light.
We did have a problem where the heat went out, and it was unable to be fixed until the next morning. That really put a damper on my wife's stay, but the hosts were gracious and allowed a partial refund.
Absolutely charming, unique accommodations in the Icelandic wilderness. The igloo itself was surprisingly well accommodated, and honestly, the bed was the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept. That heated mattress is something else and it put us in the perfect peaceful spot to watch the magic of the northern lights. Delightful!
We really enjoyed the experience even though there wasn’t an aurora the night we stayed. We slept great and It was wonderful to wake up in the morning and see the forest around us.
We were greeted by staff at the service house and shown the facilities which were clean and inviting then escorted to our buubble. The hike up the hill was a little strenuous but not bad, just enough to make you think twice about going back down the hill unless it was necessary. There was a clean restroom facility at the top of the hill which was extremely convenient. The buubble was heated and had individual mattress heaters, warm enough that we actually got hot during the night.
Excellent night to visit. Sky was clear. Laying in bed watching the stars. Great experience. Saw a shooting star and an excellent display of the northern lights. Absolutely gorgeous
This property was so unique and special! I stayed here with my 15 year old and it was so quiet, peaceful and different from the other hotels we stayed at during our visit to Iceland. The bed was very comfortable and the bubble so cool. We even had less than ideal weather with rain and fog but it was absolutely worth it. We brought our own food and drinks.
It is very unique experience. Out in the woods, isolated from the other units. However, the facility is relatively close to town so it is convenient to acquire supplies as needed.
