The Wenns Chop & Ale House
5/5 Excellent
"2 nights stay for our anniversary and it was amazing.
We were in the Chapman Suite which was situated in the roof and it was perfect for us. Had to trek up a couple of flights of stairs, which if you are unfit like me it's a bit tiring but worth it. The bed was so comfortable my husband said it was the best nights sleep he'd had in ages.
Gentleman in reception was very welcoming, showed us to our room then came back moments later to provide us with a fan.
The room had everything you could possibly need; iron, ironing board, fridge, kitchen sink, kettle, cups, glasses, cutlery etc.
There was a bath in the room as well as a shower in the ensuite bathroom.
There are a few minor things that require a little maintenance but nothing that effected our experience.
The bar/restaurant was also really nice and appeared to be a popular place.
Highly recommended."
