The property was like being in an Indiana Jones movie set. Tranquill and the infinity pool looking over the jungle is amazing. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Lots of places around area to go and taxi's are very cheap.

High Quality Resort in a Beautiful Location

Exceptional hospitality and attention to detail from the staff made the stay at Puri Gangga Resort a special one. The villas are incredible and the location is perfect for a quiet and high-quality get away. The spa offers a great range of treatments, combined with the free morning yoga class, this say really made us find our zen. We will definitely be returning in the future. Thank you to all the staff for making the trip so memorable!

Nice hotel above a water temple in the jungle. As you are in the jungle you will encounter some form of wildlife. Every luxury is there but you still feel you are in Bali. The only point was that the airconditioning was not cooling that well. We didn’t mind so did not report it. The hotel staff was fabulous!

Excellent stay , fantastic food but the staff makes the big difference. Downsides would be very spotty wifi in 706 ar least. Maybe not the best place for those that fear insects. But hey,, its the jungle !

Room was OK situated in a woodland area but there are a number of insects in the room which is probably what you would expect. Breakfast was nice. Negative was I hardly slept due to a cockerel crowing all night.

I absolutely loved staying here. The property is amazing and so peaceful. It’s 30 min north of Ubud, so it’s much more tranquil and secluded. And the infinity pool, spa, and views are spectacular. But what I loved most about this resort was the staff. Never have I ever felt such incredible hospitality. Everyone learned my name and would greet me “Hello Ms. Sarah” around the property. They would even ask me about the excursions that I booked each day through the hotel. Nanis and Jo in particular was so kind and warm, I loved getting to know them both. If you want to experience authentic Balinese hospitality and stay in a luxurious resort, Pura Gangga is the place to be!

Nice quiet in the “jungle”, comfortable beds.

Nice placement away from the city and nearby a small water temple. Feels a little Remote, quiet (we liked that). First place we stayed which did not smell of mold. However it had visible signs of an outdated room (What a pity for the overall experience). The bed was very comfortable. Unfortunately they forgot to empty the trashcan in the bathroom and the bedroom from the previous guests, but handled the problem immediately when I told them. Free yoga class every morning. Great. We had a comfortable stay though, only bad side was the restaurant. Because of the placement you were forced to use their restaurant, and the prices were almost the double of other places and not worth it, it was small simple portions, so we often had to order more. Even compared to european prices this was pricey.

Such an amazing experience at this hotel, not only is the staff incredibly kind and attentive they are also so thoughtful. We stayed for our honeymoon in the pool villa, and on the first night we came in they gave us a call in the morning to see if we’d like to have breakfast even after breakfast hours were over since we hadn’t eaten. They always asked us about our itinerary to help us decide best places to go or offer us shuttle service or a car. We went on a lovely trip with Joe to the swing and coffee plantation, he’s so fun and knowledgeable, he was also so patient with us and wanted to make sure we had a great experience. The room itself is beyond what I expected, so clean and beautifully designed. The bathroom is so spacious and gorgeous that we could probably just live there. The shower has the best water pressure and the hot water keeps going even when we’ve filled the bath and want to use the shower after. Such an amazing experience, I really wish we had booked longer. Highly recommend staying here, and hope to come back one day! Also they offer yoga in the morning, a free foot massage when you first come and their chicken is halal. Amazing experience!! Thank you so much to everyone at the hotel!!

Amazing resort and best staff

Thank you for an amazing stay. The resort was stunning, the massages were wonderful, the yoga was great and the hotel was so accommodating preparing breakfast take away boxes for 2 mornings that we had to leave early and would have missed breakfast. Wonderful friendly staff. We absolutely loved our stay and would highly recommend this gem in Sebatu. Thank you!

Beautiful place..

I stayed here recently and from the moment i arrived i fell in love with this place, rooms are set out on different levels so you never feel like you have people next door, Lots of privacy, spacious beautiful rooms, clean and visited twice daily for tidy up, bottles of water complimentary in your room/bathroom, tea/coffee facilities and fruit basket, I have stayed in Ubud many times and this is by far my favourite place to be, 20 mins into Ubub my complimentary shuttle bus, the staff are all amazing and beautiful people , Thank you for a delightful stay and i will be back soon .

Beautiful, calm and welcoming!

This place is absolutely amazing. The staff is very welcoming and friendly, giving you a very relaxed and personal experience while answering any and all questions that you might have. They are great for suggestions to do around Bali. The resort area is very beautiful with authentic designs up and down all the walls and a very green and nature like experience when walking around. The room we had (Villa with Rice Field View) was amazing. The personal pool was exactly what we dreamt of when "having your own pool" and the view from the room as well as the restaurant was gorgeous. I highly recommend this place and we will definitely try and come back again!

Avoid at all costs.

Terrible stay, the room was not habitable. There was mould all over the ceiling, a foul smell of damp. It was the first time I ever had to wear a mask to sleep at a hotel. The towels and sheets have holes in them, as do the mosquito nets which also smelled as though they hadn't been washed in months.
