Urban Woodland Retreat, Near the ~UW~, Convenient to Everything

You will be delighted as you descend from street level in a quiet family neighborhood to your garden-level suite opening onto a mature wooded greenbelt along the popular Burke-Gilman trail. You will open your private entrance to find a lovely, roomy apartment, providing two comfortable bedrooms. You'll have to decide whether to sink into the comfortable sofa to enjoy the big screen TV with cable, cozy up before the floor to ceiling windows to drink in the serene view of trees, birds and Lake Washington in the distance, or cook a gourmet meal in the well-equipped kitchen. Your guests will relax and chat at the bar while you create, then you can share your bounty at the dining table. You may choose to barbecue outdoors and dine al fresco on your private deck, patio or around the crackling fire-pit.

The first bedroom has a king size bed, huge closet and wall-mounted TV. The second bedroom has an inviting queen size bed, convenient storage and a large window looking out on the wooded garden. This bedroom adjoins the full bathroom with tub and shower, separate vanity with plenty of storage.

You have your own laundry room, complete with front loader, high efficiency washer and dryer. Your suite will always be comfortable, with natural gas heat and central air conditioning. You will enjoy the gas fireplace in the living room. You and your family will always feel safe with your own security system.

Your guest suite is your home away from home, secluded-feeling but minutes away from all the amenities and activities you could want. You have your own covered parking spot steps from the stairway that takes you down three levels to your urban oasis. You will find easy street parking in the uncrowded neighborhood. You are steps away from public transportation, taking the Metro bus to the University District, Seattle Center, Northgate, Ballard or downtown in minutes. The bus will also take you to the University Station for light rail to downtown, the sports stadium area and Sea-Tac airport. You can hop on the Burke-Gilman trail for a walk, run or bike trip to Magnuson Park, University Village, the University of Washington campus, or points beyond.

The location was perfect for our plans with our daughter at UW; and the neighborhood, yard and proximity to the Burke-Gilman Trail was just perfect for us! The unit was clean, beautifully maintained, and was stocked with everything you can think of in terms of what you might need or forget- including cold beverages in the fridge! I have never stayed at any other VRBO that included so much to make you feel at home. That’s all because of Ron, the host/owner, who couldn’t have been more friendly, accessible or accommodating! Hope to find this property available again for a future stay.
Enjoyed breakfast on the deck overlooking the backyard -with Rhododendrons in full bloom!

Amazing place! Amazing host!

Probably the best stay I’ve had in a long time! I want to be selfish and keep it all to myself but I won’t. There were more amenities than I’ve had anywhere else. We were immediately impressed with the host and property. So much so that we extended our visit. We ended up staying in more than going out into Seattle because we liked it so much. Stay here, you will love it!

Perfect!

Property is absolutely beautiful, good restaurants and coffee a very short walk from your door. Great location, very clean and nice inside. Ron was so welcoming and we felt comfortable and relaxed the entire time! When we come back to SCH or Seattle we will most definitely want to stay here again. Thank you Ron!

Windermere Cup 2025

Ron’s place really suited our requirements for 12 days in Seattle to be close to UW campus for 2 rowing regattas. Close to a supermarket and a beautiful neighbourhood for morning walks. It was like home away from home. Thank you for the extra touches Ron.

Home from home

We love the location and have returned to this home from home many times to be near to our family. The grandkids take turns to come and stay with us and the fire pit with S’mores has become a tradition!

Great location

The house was spotless and had everything we could possibly need during our stay. The backyard was beautiful, and the gas outdoor fire pit was a welcome delight for morning coffee. We will definitely book again.

My home away from home!

I needed to spend 5 weeks in Seattle to receive treatments at U of W hospital. The amount of attention Ron put in to making his VRBO feel welcoming, cozy, clean, and comfortable helped my mindset tremendously! He was so flexible with all of my care team coming and going, and for that I am so grateful! The location could not have been better! Loved the trail nearby and felt so safe! I will definitely be using this location again anytime I need to return to Seattle for medical treatment.

Perfection

Unit is exactly as described. Place was immaculate. Nicely close to the University District, grocery shopping and breweries. Especially enjoyed the firepit where we made smores with the kit supplied by the host.

Amazing stay

We had an amazing stay at Ron’s place. He is one of if not the most attentive and thoughtful vrbo hosts. The placed was stocked with everything we needed and then some. Ron and his wife even took time to clean off the high chair they let us borrow for our little one. The place is nice and cozy in a very safe neighborhood. Highly recommend this place

Such a wonderful place in a great location

We loved this place. My friends were so comfortable during their stay. The apartment has everything you might need, and just has a very special, comfortable and homey feel. Football Weekend

Four of us drove in for two football games over the weekend—the huskies and the hawks….Ron’s rental was perfect in absolutely every way! We loved it and we won both games! Perfect! We will be back for sure. I highly recommend this very comfortable apartment.

Clean and Memorable Location

The property was very clean and organized. Everything was explained to us in detail at check-in by Ron, the manager. Check-out was very smooth too. The neighborhood is very nice, calm, safe, family-friendly, and in very convenient location. We were happy with everything from start to end, thanks to Ron's professionalism.

Wonderful experience!

Upon arrival, Ron met us and gave a walk through of the location. Everything was clean, updated, and well stocked with everything we could need. The neighborhood was quiet and friendly, no worries with finding parking, and there was a trail within walking distance. Kid friendly as well. We would definitely rent again!

The Host went above and beyond, rental was beautiful!

This was our first experience using VRBO, I gotta say, Ron (the host) knocked it out of the park! The expectations have been set and the bar is high! Not only was the unit absolutely beautiful, it felt just like home! The host has absolutely everything you could need or wa t while traveling away from home! It was much better than staying in a hotel! We will definitely be using this rental again in the future if it is available! You will love Ron! He is incredibly warm and welcoming when you arrive at the property... Even when your flight is over an hour late and you are getting in after 10:30pm! Talk about patient! We really appreciate everything Ron did for us while we stayed at his rental. Thanks again Ron!

Delightful!

We loved everything about our 3 week stay in this unit. Exceptionally clean with comfortable furniture and every item a traveler might need. The yard is beautifully landscaped and lovely to behold from both inside and out. Ron is a wonderful host who makes you feel more like a house guest than a renter. Comfortable oasis

We enjoyed a week at Ron's rental. It was very comfortable, fully equipped and full of all we needed. The back yard space is lovely and on our last night we enjoyed the fire pit and smores kit provided by Ron. Our daughter loved it. We were pretty busy, but wished we had more time to enjoy the yard. We have stayed at many rental properties over the years and this one we enjoyed the most. A definite comfortable oasis! We would definitely rent it again, if we ever go back to Seattle. The Metropolitan Market is not far away and we enjoyed some good lunches at Uncle Lee's Chinese food in the little village area close by. Lee treated us very well! Ron was friendly and available if needed, he was not intrusive. The only drawback is, if you have noisy neighbors upstairs, we did a couple nights, but we had a sound machine so it wasn't unbearable...bring earplugs, just in case. Thanks Ron for a wonderful home away from home on our Seattle trip. Our 10 year old daughter loved having her own room on vacation! She's usually delegated to the couch sleeper, don't think she'll want to go back to that! Ron created a nice oasis from the city bustle and we appreciated it when we got back to the rental from a full day. We would definitely recommend this rental! Thanks for all!

Wonderfully outfitted oasis in the city

This is a great little 2BR apartment with a full kitchen, keurig with coffee and fully stocked condiment drawer in the fridge. There is an outdoor grill and fire pit for summertime in a shady thoughtfully landscaped, tree-filled yard. The only negative was very loud neighbors on the 2nd floor apartment above us (Friday night party til late) which kept us up late. Note, this apartment is on the ground floor, down 3 flights of stairs, so not appropriate for folks who have difficulty negotiating stairs

Urban Oasis

Wonderfully appointed and immaculate! A quiet retreat close to the university. Every amenity for a comfortable stay was provided. We slept soundly in the comfortable beds! The host was available for and questions or concerns. Check in and out were easy. Highly recommend! Would stay here again!
