Host is wonderful and the place is spacious, clean and comfortable.

Stayed three nights there. We arrived very late passed 11:30pm, no trouble to get in by following the instructions. The place is great, fair new, very clean and spacious! My two teenagers were very happy that each of them had their own room. The communication to the host is wonderful! We really enjoyed the stay.

Just what we needed

Plenty of room for my family and parents to stay. We were there for Mariners baseball games and this house was an easy exit to be there in about 20 mins. You can not adjust temperature yourself. We were quite chilly being in the basement with air conditioning trying to cool a a large house. I did mention to the owner and they tried to adjust what they could upstairs. Also suggested using the heaters to take the end off. Very helpful with any questions we had. Would stay again for sure if we are in the area.

Nice place but cold

We really enjoyed our stay at a nice place with plenty of room, but unfortunately there is no control of the heat and they only provide space heaters for heating. We were a little chilly during our stay.

Good place to stay, good value

Spacious clean apartment for 4 - 8 family members. Extra apartment off to west is impressive. Access down side path could be improved with steps, particularly if rained or slippery. We were all seniors. Overall happy with our stay

Family Headquarters

My family had a great stay at this property! Our party had five adults and one infant, and there was plenty of room for everyone. It’s tucked away in a suburban neighborhood with easy access to grocery stores, a few restaurants, and I-405. The fact that it has a crib was a real selling point for us, but overall it was a great spot.

Wonderful stay for a family wedding!

The downstairs quarters were beautifully furnished, clean and comfortable. We didn't fully understand that it was a basement with a family in the upstairs. Private entrance, minimal noise, just a little uncomfortable trying to figure out entrance and location initially.

Spacious and Cozy

The location was private and very relaxing. Not far from a grocery store, spacious, very clean and stocked with all necessities for basic cleaning. The host was responsive and very polite.

Newcastle house

As you see the photos in the publication, it is real how you find the house. Starla and her husband are always on the lookout if you need anything during the days you are at her house. Accessible to the freeway and shops, excellent location, without thinking about it we return to stay in this house.

Very nice spacious mother-in-law suite, great for our family

Our family of 7 needed a place to stay near Seattle while refinishing our hardwood floors at our home. With virtual schooling, we needed a place with a lot of space, without ideally breaking the bank. This place ended up being perfect for our family, especially with all the outside smoke during the 4 days of our stay. Everyone had a bed to sleep in, and there was plenty of space for our kids to spread out and do their virtual schooling. The internet speed was great (no issues for our kids). The kitchen was very nice also, with plenty of items to cook with. We did not feel cramped inside the space, which was nice since we ended up spending 99% of our time inside the home with all the smoke outside. Starla was very responsive to any questions we had. All that being said, I do have a few areas for comment/improvement - mostly minor: - The listing describes the unit as a "suite", and the title says "Spacious house..." I would have preferred if the listing could have been more clear that the unit was an in-law unit with the owners living on the 2nd floor. - We had a few issues with the parking on the street (had to move our car a couple of times). - The home was mostly very clean when we arrived. But, there were a few items that could've been cleaner. The stow-away bed had crumbs on it when we pulled it out. The high-chair had crumbs and cheerios on it, so we didn't use it. One of the sheets had a fairly large fluid stain on it. Small items in the big scheme of things. - Beds were a bit "bouncy" for our taste. (This is a personal preference thing.) - The garage door is loud, so when the owner opened/closed it either early in the morning or later in the evening, we could hear it clearly in two of the bedrooms. Again, the items noted above were minor details for us. Overall, we had a very good experience with the place, and we would absolutely stay here again if we're in a similar situation.

Becker chicks take seattle

10 of us descend of my cousin and aunt in issaquah. Newcastle was the perfect location. Lots of good walks in the morning, easy to Sea Tac, Seattle and issaquah. Great house. We slept 5 in this house, no sharing of beds.

Great property

We had a great stay. Starla was so sweet. The house was very well stocked and had lots of extras just in case you forgot something. Plenty of linens, towels, etc. I thought our family would struggle with only 1 bathroom but we made it work easily. The reason I did an overall of 4, not 5 is because of the entry/exit to the space. You have to trek up and down a dirt/gravel/unpaved walkway along the side of the house to enter and exit. That was a huge struggle for my mother who had a recent knee replacement. And taking our luggage up the hill was challenging. It would have been much easier if the area was paved. In the late night, it’s not well lit so we used the flashlights on our cell phones because we didn’t want to misstep. That was my only challenge. Otherwise our stay was great.

Great accommodation

Stayed 4 nights for a convention in town. Great place and compared to what 4 rooms for 4 adults would cost at the local hotel, it's an even greater experience. Quiet, your own entrance, and the owner went above and beyond to help us while there and make things nice.
