Second to none in the convenience and walkability of its Capitol Hill location, this chic studio makes a wonderful home base near the very heart of Seattle. Whether you're a first-timer or veteran in the Emerald City, traveling for business or pleasure, this is exactly where you want to be.

This sunlit retreat sits on the (elevator-accessible) second floor of Marion Studios, a new complex on a quiet residential street in the thriving neighborhood of Capitol Hill. Whether you're heading downtown (one mile), attending an event at the Seattle Convention Center (one mile), or shopping and dining in Pike/Pine (half a mile), the best of Seattle is easily accessible. Back at home on the grounds, enjoy a fitness center and a community patio with a gas grill and firepit.

As brand-new construction, there's a thoughtful focus here on smart design and streamlined style. The interior of the studio is cozy but also full of designer finishes, with large and generous windows showcasing the city around you. Cook with ease in a galley kitchen with stainless steel appliances, sit down to eat (or set up your laptop) at the table, and relax in the evenings on the sofa with the TV screening a favorite movie. In addition to a comfortable bed with views of the neighborhood below, you'll have complimentary WiFi and a stacked washer/dryer for all of your laundry needs.

Great stay!

Stayed for two nights, great location and clean and comfortable room. It is located on the 4th floor, without an elevator however the stairwell is conveniently located. We visited during summer and while there was no A/C which is typical for the area, we were provided a fan that kept it comfortable. Would recommend!

Great House for a Seattle Weekend!

My wife and I were in town for a concert and loved how convenient this location was for all of the activities we had planned for our weekend in Seattle, as well as the Capitol Hill nightlife. The washer and dryer setup was great, and we both appreciated the sonos system! I would recommend this home for sure.

Never again

Misleading description - says 2nd floor with elevator access. Room was on 4th floor, no elevator. No elevator disclosure until after booking. No cancelation allowed. Called for help about that as I have partial disability. Stairs were a problem. Was told there was a room on the first floor, but "Too bad, nothing I can do". Asked for a supervisor or manager, the person hung up on me. Had no instruction for accessing the building. Called the service desk number, was told the key for the front door was in the room! How do I get in the front door??? Finally was given a door code to get in. So small, hot when we got there, 85+ in the room, no air conditioning. Double bed shoved against the wall. No clothes hanging option. No dedicated parking for the building (which was disclosed in their listing). Be mindful of that. Street parking filled up fast, had to park down the block, around the corner. Not real comfortable waking to the building at night. Also, this was booked through VRBO, which added a $51 fee for using their service, in a stealth way. Invoice showed unidentified Service Fee. Won't use VRBO in the future, either.

Seattle Traveler

The good... Marion Place was very clean, quite, and a comfortable sleeping environment (bed was medium firm). The kitchen is fully stocked, has a mini Keurig coffee maker, a cooktop, full-size microwave (I believe it was a convection oven microwave), dishwasher (provided dishwasher soap), and a semi-full sized refrigerator/freezer. There was a full size washer and dryer, and they did provide Tide detergent pods. The bathroom is tiny. The gym is on the first floor with a decent equipment. When I was there (multiple days) it was very quiet, but I wonder if the noise level would pick up when Seattle University is in full swing. I believe this building has both temporary and permanent residents, and I felt very safe. There were a few issues... one is that there is no air conditioning in the unit. I was there during the summer, but thankfully it was a week when the temperatures were only in the upper 70s to lower 80s. Just know that if you don't like the heat, you will suffer. There is air conditioning in the buildings' hallways, but that doesn't help the unit. My unit was on the 4th floor (no elevator, which is noted in the description) with one large window facing west, and one facing north. There was a decent breeze with both windows open. The other issue is there is no place to hang clothes, and no ironing board, so if you are staying more than a couple of days, expect to be living out of your suitcase. There is a cabinet with a clothing bar, but there are shelves directly underneath that are used to store the vacuum cleaner, fan, and cleaning supplies. Even if there were hangers, the shelf below is only a few inches away from the clothing bar. The only place to put your clothing is in a small bedside table drawer. Overall, this place is nice, but I would not return here during the summer.
