"Bit annoying that the bar was being refitted during my stay so choice of drinks very limited. Room ok, bit dated and walls evidently VERY thin! Staff were great, food was pretty good. Quiet location, plenty free parking. WiFi a little weak."

"Staff members extremely helpful and the room is spacious enough for single occupancy. Tea and coffee facilities are available and the bathroom is adequate with my preference of a walk in shower. Ponteland is a 20 minute walk where there is extensive bars and restaurants. Newcastle is a short drive away and also is accessible by the metro line from the airport terminal, which is a 5 minutes walk from the property."

"Lovely place. Room was spotlessly clean. Bathroom was modern & gleaming. Slight mix up over bed type was quickly sorted while we had a complimentary drink in the beer garden. The room had a nice view over grass onto the sea / estuary. The beds were so comfortable, I didn’t want to get up & pack to come home. "Perfect stay. Such welcoming hosts. Property was easy to find, so beautifully decorated, and very quiet. Our room, like the whole property, was pristine. So many thoughtful touches, like the torch next to the bed in case you use the bathroom in the night. Plenty of hot water for the shower and a really comfy bed. And breakfast - vegan, gluten, and normal options, freshly cooked, delicious. Will definitely stay again. Thank you"

"We stayed here as it was close to the wedding venue we were attending and didn’t seem too expensive. Easy to find and park park at. Check in was easy and the room was spacious and I was grateful for the kettle and teabags/milk and use of hairdryer and ironing board. The downside was the bars downstairs. We were at the front of the building right above the hotel bar and both Friday and Saturday night I struggled to sleep til the partygoers left at midnight. I had the windows shut and the blinds...

We were heading from Scotland to London though, so no time for a stop. Only thing we found was that there was no oven. Slightly inconvenient since we bought pizzas to cook. Just saved them for the next place. Oh, we did go to the beach by the castle. That was nice. It was late, so the castle was closed, but...
