"We stayed for 2 nights. The photos dont do ths property justice, its absolutely beautiful. Rooms are big and comfy and Gordon has thought of everything. Weather was terrible so we spent time in the comfy kitchen and lounge watching the sea. Very peaceful but so close to everythimg you could need, shops, take aways etc We will definitely be back, the sooner the better. Shame Gordon cant guarantee the weather but he can guarantee you a lovely stay"

"In general, the place was clean and well kept. I wrote the owner about mold in the shower and received no response. The neighborhood and street noise left a lot to be deired. Very run down."

"Apartment was comfortable. The alet and stairs up to it were awful and could have been improved with a clean or a paint. Beds were comfortable. Just needed some general upkeep done on it, skirtings cleaned and painted, hole in bathroom wall filled. Everything you needed for a weekend away but not done to my standard."

"The apartment has the perfect location,no car needed and the style of the apartment has that artist touch which is very nice,everthing you need is there and walking distance to everthing also bus station round the corner for a day trip to many places,Glasgow etc,i have stayed in many in ayr and this 1 is very good."

"Previous reviews of this property are very accurate. The lack of a working shower is a setback for this rental. Other properties have the same shower mechanism, but this one does not work to combine cold and hot water properly and should be replaced. The kitchen also did not have any decent pans to make breakfast. They are all scratched. No one will pack a cast iron pan. So, a small investment in the place will go a long way here. Cleanliness was good but could be improved overall. Not bad, just...

"Basic apartment- lots of work done to make it habitable but the finishing is not great. All appliances works, the bed and mattress was good with clean linen and towels. The area had a pub with people parking on the limited parking slots (reserved for residents). Since I was over the weekend, I could park but if it was a weekday, I would have to park on the main road. No local eateries to walk up to other than the pub which was very busy."

"As advertised Patrick’s home is right on the water. It was great seeing Dolphins playing in the morning. We took the ferry with our car and it was great. The house was spacious and very clean. It takes a bit to get the various European electrical devises figured out but we managed well. The hiking in the area was fabulous. Pucks Glen is a must see for anyone. It is truly one of the most beautiful places I have ever been."
