"I’m not sure why I did not know that I would have a shared bathroom, but it was never cleaned and wish I knew this was the case. The place is very old and a little scary, but the staff there are super friendly and helpful. It’s like a hostel where people live there… full time? Maybe halfway house?"

"Our family of five stayed here for two nights before catching a flight from Gatwick. Our hosts were gracious and great communicators. The beds were comfortable, the entire property kept in great shape and very clean, and it was super convenient for getting to the airport as well as occupying ourselves while there. I highly recommend a stay here."

"My wife and I have been driving around the UK for 2 weeks and found The Tickled Trout to be the best we’ve had. Spotless, The Bed was soo comfortable, Great shower, and the Roast in the restaurant was amazing. We were greeted at check in by Charlie and his female off sider, who both came out to the car park and helped with the baggage. We were taken to our room and shown about. "The staff were super lovely and caring! Super quiet area and a nice bed to sleep in especially. Had a rough experience in the area nearby but thankfully where the property is situated it's alot safer! Definitely worth it and multiple supermarkets nearby is always a plus. "

"Advertised as disabled accessible...external stairlift out of action, walker had to be left outside of room as bed limited access to the room and had to enter in sideways, lino was coming up, no bin in bathroom, unable to use bathroom efficiently as was too small, informed reception tv not working properly not sorted, bathroom light bulb reported due to being blown not replaced, awaiting to hear back from management as they are not on duty today (Tues 5th Sept). Took me asking three times asking...

"3 of us stayed in the 3 single bed family room on a room only basis the room was extremely clean with en suite shower room. The beds were very comfortable tea and coffee was supplied and when we needed more milk they bought us more. The room also had doors out to a little patio area overlooking a pool with fish and a lawn beyond."
