"Views of sheep from conservatory in back (where we spent most of our time) and glorious water views from dining table out front which are not shown in listing but should be! Very comfy well equipped older cottage. Keith was great to chat with. The 4 mile one track road in was slow due to the traffic to the Talisker Distillery but that is no fault of the cottage. Just a fact on Skye!"

"The house was amazing and the views were breathtaking. Plus it was very quiet and peaceful. Our daughter absolutely loved having the room at the top of the stair overlooking the sheep pasture. Got to watch the sheep dogs move the sheep and we got a chance to chat with the shepherd who was very friendly. Our host was wonderful and she always responded very quick to any of our questions. This is an absolute must accommodation if you are visiting the northern end of the Isle of Skye."

"We loved our stay at Ridge Edge Cottage! The neighbors (and their dog) were wonderful and it was so fun to live among the locals for a few nights. You have everything you need here including a washing machine (no dryer). The dishes were not all clean in the cabinet but that was an easy fix with the dish soap provided. It is quite far from Portree (45-60 minutes) but well worth the drive. "

"My wife and I spent 3 nights at Hugh's Highland Hideaway as the centerpiece of our 12 day Scotland vacation. What rare a special place. The cottage is surrounded my meadows and grazing sheep set againast beautiful green mountain slopes behind. Inside it's very well kept and clean with updated heaters, bathroom and kitchen. The kitchen was especially impressive with everything we needed to cook our meals every morning and evening. Very close to Storr and The Quiraing we hiked both and made it...

"Property is comfortable. Best feature is the front seating area with relaxing chairs and very cozy. We had a regular visitor of a young red deer stag. Air chair deer watching."

"Objekt und Lage wie in Anzeige beschrieben, Sehr schön, super ausgestattet, hat keine Wünsche offen gelassen. Sehr gute Idee mit dem Feldstecher in der Küche und dem Vogelbestimmungsbuch. Eine schöne Beschäftigung bei Ebbe. Den Ofen haben wir mit dem vorhandenen Holz nicht angefeuert bekommen. Wegen der Heizung war es aber trotzdem warm. Übergabe war ohne persönlichen Kontakt, was wir schade fanden."

"Peace and tranquillity for us - a quiet getaway with all modern conveniences. Basic shopping is very accessible and 3 ferry ports within easy reach. In February the most beautiful beaches of white sand were empty. Walking is a real pleasure, but maybe take a flask. So many geese, oyster catchers, lapwings. Amazing."
