"The staff went the extra mile to make our visit to Humboldt County special. Zach was so kind. He saw that we were tired (we’d driven across the country) and put us in a room with a jacuzzi. The rooms were large. The breakfast was good. Most of all the garden with the koi and frogs was so beautiful. To say that we enjoyed our stay is a complete understatement. "

"We loved the king suite with the queen room attached, perfect for out family. Everyone was kind and check in/check out was fast and easy. We enjoyed the pool and the breakfast buffet each morning. "

"There isn't a great amount to do in this historical locale, but a short drive puts you in the redwoods or to some dining options. The grocery store across the street makes great fresh sandwiches. The rooms are unique, quiet, and well appointed. There was a very nice sitting area just outside the door of our room. The staff persons were all nice, accommodating, we enjoyed our arrival refreshment. If you want to stay in a peaceful, historic building, this lodge woorks well."
