Terrace was superb and the closeness and emptiness of beach was brilliant -safe and snorkelling opportunities...A really special property with friendly, helpful host and great communication. "The hotel was modern and clean. Beds comfortable. The bathroom was spacious. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was lovely with a good selection for a continental breakfast. There were a couple of bars nearby. It was a little walk into the main town you could take a short cut climbing a good number of stairs. The Melqart Hotel is a lovely place to stay it would be even better if there was some outdoor space or a little bar area. "

"We stayed at the Hotel Aliai for about 4 nights. The rooms were very nice, clean and big. The staff was absolutely amazing, very happy and couldn't do enough to help and ensure that we had a good stay. The hotel is situated so that it is easy traveling distance to the Marsala region as well as Agrigento. The town of Sciacca is lovely with some pretty impressive restaurants. We really enjoyed our time there and would definitely stay again."

"As soon as you walk in you step back into the 80s. This place needs a facelift and everything else included ASAP. The rooms are ok, the beds are hard! Cold tile flooring everywhere. The ALL INCLUSIVE is the biggest rip off EVER! The food is complete garbage and they only serve pasta and fish so if you don’t eat that you are screwed. If you want something to drink you have to walk from where you are eating and grabbing food to across the hotels lobby and to the bar. The only alcoholic drinks are some cheap wines they have. There are no towels at the pool. Theres a train that takes you to a beautiful beach and honestly that was the only thing making us happy until it broke down and we had to walk back with our 3 yr old twins. The staff at the buffet will watch you like hawks and correct you if you do something they dont approve of. Sicilians are just a whole different breed, I swear. Almost no one here at the hotel speaks English."
