"Loved the exceptional staff - very friendly and helpful. The room (panoramic view) was incredible, very spacious with amazing view of Mt. Eiger. Breakfast was tasty. Very walkable in Grindelwald and to/from train station. Stellar stay, I would definitely stay again! "

Walk out the door and two minutes you are in the heart of everything. Walked to Grindenwald First as well.

"In staying at 9 different hotels for our 2 week vacation this was our favorite hotel. We took the Gondola up to the hotel and then from there it was very easy to go to Grindelwald 'First' and was very accesible to some great hikes in the area, and then once the Gondola stopped at 6:00 p.m. it became very quiet and peaceful at the hotel. We had the restaurant and the mountain to ourselves for the rest of the night. Although we read many comments discouraging driving up to the hotel, we definitely could have driven up as we had good weather and the paved road is very driveable in the summer. "

Parking ya the hotel is plentiful and easy. Although walking to and from the hotel maybe difficult for those less able. "
"This property is absolutely wonderful, and the hosts are amazing. The gorgeous chalet overlooks Grindelwald, and at nighttime the deck and meadow are great for stargazing. My family of 8 stayed here for a nearby wedding, and it was very comfortable and spacious. The two refrigerators was great for our large family, and the ping pong table provided hours of fun for us. I highly recommend this property!"
"The best way to describe this hotel is: straight out of a fairytale! The view from literally anywhere you look are absolutely spectacular. The hotel is 150 years old but they have done an outstanding job at conserving it authentic and classic look but with some modern and classic touches for comfort.
