"Friendly and helpful staff, did not have time to use the amenities but common areas inside the hotel and surrounding outside looked very attractive; breakfast was fine but could be improved in particular as far as variety of dishes and availability of salads and vegetables are concerned"

"Although not in the Old Town, Gengenbach is small, so nothing is far away. The hotel is so quiet, it was lovely and peaceful to be that little bit away from the main part of town, only 10 minutes walk. The room was huge, with a comfortable bed, sitting area, minibar, safe, and a strong shower. The breakfast was a cold buffet, but choices were plentiful, and the coffee was very good. Highly recommend!"

"For the price you pay, it’s not bad. The decor may need an update, but the pictures online are true to form. My only real gripe was the plastic mattress protector on the obviously new mattress- you’ll wake up in a pool of sweat in the middle of the night. Nevertheless, I still give my overall experience 5 stars because of the hotel’s staff. They went above and beyond to help me from restaurant reservations, what points of interest to see, and even printed several documents I needed for me. At the end of the day, a hotel is really just a fungible service - a bed to sleep in. The difference is service. I would definitely recommend. "
