"Quirky colorful and whimsical hotel. Relatively residential neighborhood. Shortish walk to Metro... somewhat longer walk to free ferry that takes you to Amsterdam. Not much going on in the neighborhood, but close enough to the fun/excitement."

"We had a great time, only quibble is check in was 1500. We had to wait to 1630. With no offer of a complementary drink, we just sat and waited in the lobby. Then we had to ask when our room was ready! Not cool for a booked 2 x suit top of the shelf rooms - the rooms were amazing worth the wait. Reception just need to work on their hospitality, respectfully. "

"I travel about 100 days a year, so I rarely review hotels because I would always be doing it, but Hotel Jakarta is unique and special. Awesome staff, great design, beautiful views from the rooms. Wish I could have stayed longer. "

"The hotel is near the ferry and train stations. It offers a nice continental breakfast included with your reservation.The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel had a wonderful night view."

"This is a really great hotel in a quiet area just outside of central Dam and easily accessible by train directly from the Central Station. The security guy was really nice, and we felt very safe in the area. The beds are new and super comfortable, and the rooms are quiet and clean. Didn't try the restaurant, but walked into Zaan Dam for breakfast at Lagom, which is just a few minutes away from the hotel. That said all the food looked very good. When we go back to Amsterdam, this hotel will be on our radar for sure."
