"The troglodyte house was exactly as described - made from a cave set in teh side of a hill. It was comfortable and well furnished, and we received a very warm welcome from the owners. The balcony with its view over Saint Chamas was the best part. The house is well situated for exploring Provence but if you're hiring a car, don't choose anything too big - the lanes leading to the property are narrow and the parking is best-suited to a small-medium car!"

Unlike other vacation homes, this one is truly someone's residence, so it contained many personal effects down to the homeowner's own hair products. "Staying in an 18th century chateau is a not to be missed experience. the photos accurately depict the property. Be prepared, though, for some relatively minor inconveniences such as antique wiring, limited wi fi, uncomfortable beds etc. We spent a week there, enjoyed our stay, and were happy to move on."

"We spent 2 wonderful weeks in Provence. The whole time we stayed at the property hosted by Francoise and Bernard, as the base, and travelled by car to many places in Provence. They were excellent hosts. Every time (even late in the evening) we had a question and/or request, Francoise replied to us within minutes.
