"This was a peaceful place with a lovely hostess who gave us some eggs from her hens. There is a tiny table with two chairs outside the door and a larger space with garden furniture under a canopy further down the garden, although this would be more comfortable if it could be contrived to put it on level ground. The living space was fine for two people."

"We spent a week at this lovely holiday home. It's comprised of 2 2-bedroomed cottages attached to each other but with separate kitchen and bathroom facilities. This worked brilliantly for our family of 3 teenagers and 2 adults., plus our dog. There's a beautiful courtyard as well as stunning garden with bbq, large decking area and plunge pool. A l'arrivée, comme la maison était restée inoccupée, il a fallu bien aérer pour faire partir les odeurs de renfermé. "Nous avons été accueilli par Valérie, qui nous à présenté son gîte ainsi que les alentours.Le gite était parfait, bien agencé, bien pourvu et nous avons pu profiter de la salle attenante pour un anniversaire.Un extérieur vaste et bien entretenu, et la surprise des animaux pour le enfants (une biche !)Valérie s'est montré disponible tout le long du séjour et même avant et nous avons passé un week-end parfait en famille !Je recommande ce lieu pour toute les familles qui souhaitent un gite...

"The property is set in a lovely hamlet where you can leave the doors and windows open all night with no worries. Both pools are excellent and regularly maintained by the host. There is everything you need provided in the well appointed kitchen. Yann is friendly and on hand to help when/if needed. I would thoroughly recommend if you want a relaxing time."

Best Stay Ever !!

"Wow what can I say - we had a fantastic 2 week holiday at the Chateau and hope to return one day Highlights - the house furnishings and grounds , the equipment and a very special mention to Nicolas , the manager who was so helpful and even took it upon himself to cook us the local delicacy- he is a credit to the place !Montmorillon is a delight Criticisms - not anything I can immediately think of to be honest . The local villages are very quiet in late May/early June and the bars /cafes open periodically. Maybe a schedule of what is open when in Journet and La Trimouille would be helpful but that is nit -picking Thank you Stephen !!! "
