"The property was so atmospheric as it is so old and well preserved. Although it retains the period decor, it has all modern amenities. Spotlessly clean and comfortable and breakfast excellent. Right in the heart ofthe village and you fel transported to back centuries or are on a film set. Staff very helpful and it is a short walk the the town below with excellent dining options"

"My room was a suite with two small balconies as on the corner and it was very nice, modern and clean, reception staff friendly and welcoming. The hotel is in a nice location, not in the centre of the very old town but only a pleasant short walk up to the centre citadel so I felt it was ideal. Highly recommend staying here. "

"This was an excellent place to stay for one or two nights. It was difficult to find and there is no parking at the hotel but parking is close. The couple that owns it does an excellent job at communicating everything at check-in and the room and place is charming and cozy. The beds are absolutely fantastic and we slept so well! Its an older “farmhouse” style and breakfast is limited to croissants/coffee/tea but we enjoyed all if it. Its a great location at the base of the stairs leading to the Tower. I wish we had stayed longer. Its very secure with keeping all the gates locked and doors locked too."
