It sits over looking Monforte de Lemos, which is an ok walk down to the town but is a little challenging walking back up (there is a taxi rank in the town). The room we had looked out over the entrance and was large and clean but lacked style / a plushness considering it’s the best hotel in town. "Loved the parador!! The room was extremely spacious and comfortable. Slept like a queen. It was wonderful after a long day of horseback riding nearby. Dinner was very nice. Service was excellent. Breakfast service was disappointing- the servers were not as friendly or attentive as I would have liked and forgot our egg order. They apologized but by the time we received them it was late and we had to go."
