"Lovely peaceful location. In case anyone else is concerned, I was a little worried about the pub so close, but I barely noticed it was there. The house was spacious inside and had lovely features such as the staircase. Just so people are aware, the small bedroom opens into the main bedroom. The inner hallway is open plan to the main bedroom, just up a step, which leads to a shower room and the small bedroom. But the door to the small room was around a corner and it felt private. We were three adults and it was fine. There was a little PIR light in the night which was very helpful. We enjoyed our stay and the house met my high cleanliness standards! I would recommend staying here."

"This is exactly what you want from a guest house… a fully cooked breakfast with the option for a continental if you wan something lighter. Tom is an absolute diamond… loved it here!"

"This is a lovely hotel in a rural setting but relatively close (around 10min) to the M4. Driving up the narrow lane to the hotel set the mood for me, quiet and tranquil. The staff throughout the stay were friendly and accomodating. This was a business trip and we hosted a business dinner at the restaurant. The service was very good as was the food. Again the entire approach was very relaxed which allowed for a great evening. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. Even though the building is quite old (wooden floor boards, etc.) there was no noise issues. Everything in the room was spotless. The only minor point is that the hotel is quite old but well maintained but it is showing it's age in some areas. This is nothing that would put me off staying there again and would recommend it for families too. I would love to return and have some spare time to explore some of the hotels other amenities. "

"Stayed at the Rose and Crown for two nights with friends. The staff were amazing. Service was excellent and the food delicious. The location was perfect being a short walk to the stunning coastline. I would not hesitate to recommend staying here"
