"A fabulous smallish personable hotel. All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Our suite was perfect for the three of us, two adults and mid-teenager. Good selection on the menu for lunch and dinner. Good quality breakfast, apart from some rather rubbery scrambled eggs... All reasonably priced. Thoroughly recommended for a short break."

"The Old Government House is a real gem, combining traditional elegance, luxury and charm with beautiful views over St Peter Port. The location is perfect, and the atmosphere is warm, welcoming and relaxing. What really sets it apart is the attentive, friendly service, which made me feel genuinely valued. A fabulous hotel with real character and a wonderful standard of hospitality. Highly recommended and somewhere I would love to return to!"

"Staff very friendly and efficient. Food was excellent and always served with a smile. Reading room was a bonus, very comfortable and quiet with door to beautiful garden. Rooms were clean, water pressure in shower was not great but adequate. Double bed was actually 2 singles pushed together but they didn’t actually match. 1 was comfortable though. Despite that I would definitely recommend it and will definitely stay again."

"Our family have used this hotel when visiting family in Guernsey for many years . The staff are always very welcoming in all area of the hotel. We were happy to receive an upgraded room on this occasion. Everything was super clean. Gorgeous bed linen and the comfiest pillows. There was plenty of choice for breakfast and the carvery on Sunday was one of the nicest we’ve had"
