"We had a fantastic stay at Epavlis Meteora Suites during our time in Greece! The owners, Spyros and Mary, were really friendly and made us feel at home, welcoming us with cherries from their tree. The property is really well kept with great views of the Meteora rocks on one side and Kalabaka/plain of Thessaly on the other. The room was very comfortable, clean and quiet. The breakfast was also great - homemade with local ingredients. Bear in mind that the hotel is located up a steep(ish) hill...

"This is a new property in Kastraki, which is a 15 min walk or 5 euro taxi ride from the town of Kalambaka. Kastraki is a small, quaint village at the foot of the monasteries in Meteora. There is a lovely family run restaurant just at the end of the road, and a bakery across the street. The rooms themselves are well designed, modern and comfortable. For a fee, ask about late check out. It’s very much worth it given the transportation options out of Kalambaka. I’d definitely come back again!"

"We came to Meteora because of the monasteries, but absolutely loved the area itself. The scenery is spectacular, serene, and had a really tranquil vibe to it. The hotel was great, the staff really special. They helped us arrange a special father’s Day dinner, custom food order prepared in the hotel kitchen and served with style and grace. Special thanks for this experience to our server Georgia and the chef Niko! Highly recommend doing the hike up to the Holy Trinity monastery from Kalampaka. It’s off the beaten path and a strenuous hike up but we found it to be the one monastery with a true monasterial atmosphere. "
