Our family's mountain getaway is a true gem, and we go above and beyond to ensure your experience is nothing short of perfection. We initially purchased our home in 2007 as a complete fixer-upper. We gutted the interior, re-imagined the layout, and added beautiful interior features and maximized the potential of the large square footage. We've updated all appliances, added timeless decor throughout, and ensured that it's equipped with all the comforts of a home-away-from-home, as it has been for us.
The stars are breathtaking at night, as is being immersed in nature and wildlife at all times. There's a beautiful and accessible stream with a small waterfall that runs alongside our property, from which we've seen deer take refreshing drinks!
When you stay at Cozy & Quiet Mountain Retreat, you are far enough away from the noise to feel secluded with privacy, yet a short drive from local shops and restaurants. Our guests enjoy amenities provided by the Sapphire Valley Resort, and nearby excursions such as white water rafting, tubing, and skiing; it's the perfect mountain getaway for any type of vacation!
Guests have full access to most of the lower level of the home. The upper (main) level is a separate listing and may be occupied by guests. The small stream that runs alongside our property is accessible via stepping stones at the end of the gravel drive. These steps are placed in the wooded area of our side yard and the stream can carefully be accessed by able-bodied guests.
Our local grocery store, Ingles, is a 10 minute drive and meets all of your gourmet and basic food shopping needs.
Any questions regarding the property should be communicated through the VRBO app. Phone communication is only preferred in case of emergency. Please note internet and phone service can be intermittent.
Pets may be allowed on a case by case basis at host's sole discretion. There is no guarantee we will allow your pet to stay with us. The $250 per pet fee is non-refundable and applies to all breeds and sizes of pets. Additional fees may apply if any damage is present after your stay.
Due to high demand, we request a prompt checkout at 10:00 am. If a late checkout is desired, it may be granted on a case by case basis and is not guaranteed. *If we find that a guest has checked out past 10 am on their scheduled checkout day, there will be a $150 non-refundable late checkout fee to be paid immediately through VRBO.*
