"Licinia and her husband were wonderful hosts, easy to communicate with and resolving any issues promptly. The pool.ans outdoor area was great though the weather was bad during our stay so we didn't get to use it.. easy drive to Porto too! The only thing we found was the listing says spa pool and fitness centre which must be a mistake as there is not either of those available a this house."

"Overall this was a good stay. The riverfront, Cockburn’s & a fantastic Fado restaurant is within easy walking distance Our choice of room was double-booked & we were given the larger house. The ac had been turned off because the nights were cool. The problem was the day was very warm & the house was stuffy and we were told that we couldn’t leave the door open. The owner turned the ac on later in the night & it was very pleasant afterward."

"Great location for visiting Porto. Close to important museums and castles. Many dining options close as well as a very complete supermarket. Each unit is fully furnished with bathroom and small kitchen. Would recommend to any travelers to Porto."

"This really is a beautiiful villa.....so spacious, lots to do and very well equipped. We enjoyed the tennis court, pool, billiards and gorgeous setting. Comfortable beds! Mario was great as a host, could not have asked for more - very responsive, flexible, caring and just at the end of what'sapp on the couple of times needed. We hired a car to give us some extra flexibility which worked for us but it is really easy and cheap to pick up ubers locally and from Porto back to the villa. As said in...

"The house was great in a lovely location. Views were amazing. Good area for peace and quiet but easy 50 minute drive into Porto. Slightly lacking in glasses and crockery, we had to put the dishwasher on regularly. There was a problem with the pool while we were there, and we were unable to use it, which was a great shame as the weather was so good. But owner has been kind enough to compensate us for this. Would recommend the house."

"This is a very well equipped villa in a lovely location overlooking the lagoon. The village of Torreira a few minutes away is a gem. A pretty little town with old buildings lining the pedestrianised main street at one end and a harbour with brightly painted traditional fishing boats at the other end. The villa has a good heated pool and two comfortable lounges, one of which overlooks the lagoon. The garden is secluded and a nice place to relax. The nearby road is only really noisy on Sundays...

"What an amazing stay! Our party of 9 had a wonderful time at the Stone House - and didn't want to leave. Our only regret was not visiting when the pool was open in summer - so we'll have to go back! The host and housekeeper were so accommodating, friendly, and gracious. The house was immaculately clean, and so very beautiful. Being only 25 minutes from Porto, 30 minutes from the beach and an hour from wineries, we thoroughly enjoyed the location as well. I highly recommend a stay at this...

"We absolutely loved our stay. Eugenia was there to meet us when we arrived and walked us through the property. It was incredibly beautiful, well-done, spacious and accommodating. The house had more than we needed- more towels, more pillows, more everything- which was very appreciated. We used this spot as an anchor to visit Porto, Aviero and Bragga - which worked out perfectly. It was very convenient to visit these cities and then come home to a peaceful and relaxing experience. "This is a beautiful property. Two couples stayed in the villa. Unfortunately the rain was incessant so we were not able to use the outdoor patio and pool. But it was an ideal base to explore Porto, the staff was superb, and the breakfast set us up for the day."

"Loved the room. Very spacious, nice, and clean. The shower alone was amazing and deserves 5 stars on its own. The staff was very accomodating to my plant-based breakfast request and made sure I had enough food. Our room safe battery died right before our check out and the staff resved the issue in a very professional and fast manner. The area is great too. Would stay here again. "
