"Location was very hard to find as it is a "B&B" rather than a hotel. We have traveled the world but we found communication was friendly but very limited with proprietor. Nothing was ever said about a breakfast and never saw the rooms or common areas shown in ad. When we left in the morning, no attendant was there. "The Modernistas hotel is a true gem. We're an American couple who were staying in Rio for one evening. The hotel is small, adorable, unique, and in a terrific area, with plenty of bars, restaurants, and clubs within walking distance.
