"We have just returned from our wonderful holiday at this beautiful Gite in a lovely rural area of France. Amanda & Graham were the perfect hosts and went above and beyond to ensure we had the most relaxing stay with the use of their pool and sunbeds. The welcome gift of wine and treats was very much appreciated after our long drive from England. Easy access to the motorway is close by for day trips out. We particularly enjoyed visiting La Rochelle and Poitiers and doing everything French...

"The Old Goat Shed is a perfect gite for 2. It's very well equipped, has a lovely comfy bed and a wood burner for chilly evenings. The garden is well looked after plus there's a pool and hot tub for guests to use. Richard, our host, made us feel so welcome, nothing was too much trouble and he will cook for you on request, which we took advantage of and the food was delicious. We enjoyed our stay so much we have re-booked for next year. "

Great three star, well located

"It's important to understand that the star system tells you important things about the amenities, as well as the price. A/C is extra here, and the rooms are small but clean. The location is top-notch for dining and sight-seeing. The breakfast (extra charge, as is universal in France, but in this case a very small one) is wonderful, with many local products. Above all, the staff are lovely and extremely accommodating, including for example fixing an air conditioner and supplying a power adapter. Highly recommended."
