Our family of five stayed at the Sophia Luxury Suites and we loved it. The place looks just like all their promotional photos. The views of the caldera from the front door and personal pool are breathtaking. I highly commend their staff. They were so accommodating. They assisted with arranging transportation to and from the airport, taking our luggage up and down the many steps to our room, delivering a delicious breakfast daily, and really took care of us. Located in the quieter town of Imerovigli, it was not too far a walk from the capital Fira (30 minute walk).

Here the bus stop is close (which is preferable for transportation through the island), stores, and a handful of restaurants. Absolutely amazing!! This was my first experience with a hotel line Sophia! A “cave” hotel suite is a bucket list-type experience for sure. As long as you don’t mind some stairs you’ll love this. The views and the food are exceptional as well.
