"The hotel is an economy hotel, but was very acceptable for the price. I stayed 4 days. My room was small but comfortable. The bed was comfortable. The hotel does not have an elevator. The breakfast was made by the person on duty at the time when I came down in the morning. Always scrambled eggs, arepa, small piece of white bread, and coffee. "Aside from the staff and the hotel's stunning views, I DON'T recommend this place at all. Its access is very risky because there is no paved road; it's a narrow, dangerous route with mud and slippery stones. The hotel has a beautiful design, but it is not in the best condition, as some amenities like the pool and jacuzzis sometimes malfunction. The rooms lack air conditioning, which becomes a problem after a day in the heat and pool. They only have an old, noisy fan that makes sleeping uncomfortable, often forcing you to keep the window open if you're lucky and your room has a window. However, this increases the risk of mosquitoes since the area has many. Overall, I do not recommend this place despite its beautiful views; it’s not worth the risk and inconvenience."

"Tau House is the perfect place to stay if you are looking for warm and relaxing vacation. My husband and I had an amazing time here. We spent 5 days, and we wished we could've extended our stay. This is the first vacation where we truly felt relaxed and rejuvenated. The decor of Tau House is warm and inviting. The color scheme aids in providing a relaxing environment. Our bedroom was so clean and spacious. I love that the king size bed is actually a king size bed and not two beds pushed together. The closet area of the clothes is more than enough to hang everything up. The special touch of providing robes and slippers really made me fall in love with this place from the start. The food is exceptional! We opted to have most of our meals here because they were that good. Complimentary breakfast was delicious and they offered a healthy menu that allowed for my husband and I to stay on track. All the meals are balanced between carbs, fats and proteins. We ate dinner here most nights, and it was so nice to be able to enjoy a quiet evening and then go to our room. The staff is absolutely amazing. They were beyond welcoming and accommodating. Everyone was so friendly. They offered us so many different things to do around Medellin and Guatape. We cannot wait to come back!"

"The biggest downside was the lack of privacy. Many of the cabins are very close together and face the same direction, so you can clearly see and hear your neighbors. It didn’t feel like the secluded escape that’s advertised. There were also some safety and maintenance issues in our cabin. The stairs to the upper level/jacuzzi had no handrail and weren’t lit at night, which felt risky. Inside, the bathroom door wouldn’t lock, and the sliding patio door kept coming off track and was difficult to secure. The minibar was well stocked with snacks, but oddly no coffee—even though there was a kettle. That said, the positives: the food was excellent, room service was fast with generous portions, and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Having La Pausa next door for additional dining options was also a plus. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but with a few improvements—especially around privacy and maintenance—this place could be amazing."
