"My wife and I stayed at Makanas for 10 nights on May 2024. We definitely enjoyed our stay. The studio is nice ans has everything for the stay. The staff (Vane and Leysi are the best) was awesome and prepared the best waffles and gallo pinto ever for breakfast! I would HIGHLY recomend that if you did not rent a 4 wheeler or a car, find somewhere else to stay because Makanas is very far as a walking distance from either bars/restaurants/supermarkets, and taxis are extremely expensive "

"Not right on the beach but close. They need additional blinds for sleeping, a bit bright. If you close the bedroom door you will get no ac from the living room where the ac is located. They are very helpful in all your needs!"

"This was a great stay. Less than 5 min to the beach, there is a dirt path across the street. Everyone who tends to the property is so very helpful. We arrived way later than planned and Richard was so accommodating. He even carried our bags up. The place was super cute, pool was a great way to end the day. "The villa was super cute, very clean, and the area very walkable. They had security as well, which was an added plus. Two things that could be improved— internet speed was ridiculously slow or nonexistent at times. I also asked for an iron at 6pm and they just told me, sorry housekeeping is gone until tomorrow. So the service lacked a bit there… "
