"Un hotel de mucha historia en costa rica. Se conserva muy bien y se mantiene actualizado. Es ideal para viajeros que dispongan de vehículo porque tiene acceso a diferentes sitios por varias rutas. Si ubicacion lo hace muy seguro y dispone de todos los servicios a su alrededor. Nos gusta usarlo para escaparnos de la rutina un fin de semana familiar."

"The restaurant and bar have wonderful food and drinks. Their signature dish, Sea Bass, is always yummy. Breakfast is hearty and satisfying. The grounds are beautiful and scenic with lots of vegetation, trees and butterflies. It’s our 2nd time enjoying Hotel Bougainvillea. We’ll be back!"

"The staff tried charging me $20 to open a $12 bottle of wine. I was gambling $100-300/hand on blackjack and got a bottle of wine to take up to my room and couldn’t get anyone to open it for me. Tried buying an opener in the store there on site and they didn’t sell them. I had just spent $140 on a bar tab while watching the World Cup game and planned to take three buddies there for a steak dinner that night and would’ve spent $400-500 I’m sure. I’ve booked 18 rooms there in the last four months....

"Very attractive hotel with helpful, friendly staff. Stayed here because of its proximity to the US Embassy. Breakfast was good, and the simple dinner I ate in the restaurant was tasty. Room was spacious , clean and well-appointed. Appreciated the minifridge and coffee setup."
