Would highly recommend this house. Appreciated the bike rentals and the beautiful area and pool. Very convenient to shops and restaurants but was a quiet tucked away little neighborhood. We will be back!

Great family vacation

We had our family of four plus grandparents. Everything was exactly as described. Very clean. Great neighborhood. The bikes provided worked out perfectly for our group. Easy access to the beach. We will definitely be back.

Perfect for the family!

“Sunny Side Up”, located in the Watersound West neighborhood on 30A, is a perfect vacation home for families. We stayed with our kids ages 3-14 and one grandmother. Pros: The neighborhood is beautiful and the home is so relaxing. The home is exactly as advertised and shown in the pictures. We were very comfortable and relaxed. The neighborhood pool is really nice and only about a five minute walk from the house. The home came with all the beach gear we needed including chairs for the adults and boogie boards for the kids and umbrellas. The only things we brought with us for the beach were a wagon, towels, and sand toys. The bikes were like new. We really enjoyed riding around the neighborhood and a few minutes up and down 30A to the quaint shops, restaurants, and The Big Chill. The walk to the beach is breathtaking! The boardwalk from the pool is a short walk and goes through a stunning lake area then over the dunes to the beach. Other reviews complained about this walk, but for us it was one of the best parts of the trip! We really enjoyed it. The beach area is the best we’ve ever accessed on 30A! The nearest other access points are way to the east, and to the west sits Deer Lake State Park. This makes it feel like the beach area is totally private. I grew up in this area and must say that this is one of the best beaches I’ve ever been to along the panhandle. The cons: The access codes for the neighborhood and pool did not work. Rental company was very supportive.

Family memories

This house was perfect for my husband and me and our daughter’s family of 5. Very comfortable and well appointed. We would definitely rent it again! Only suggestion would be to have some spices on hand (even just salt and pepper)

Sunny Side Up at WaterSound West

Our family has vacationed and enjoyed the beaches along 30-A for 35 plus years. This neighborhood is peacefully tucked away from the crowded hustle & bustle. The house “Sunny Side Up”was beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed during our stay. Although ia bit of a hike to the beach, you can drive and park near the pool, closer to the beach boardwalk. Pack a wagon (house does not have one) for beach gear and take a stroller for little ones. The stroll down the boardwalk to the beach is gorgeous! One of the prettiest on 30-A. Our family will definitely return to WaterSound West!🏝️☀️

Bugs

Arrived late afternoon. Everything looked fine initially. Nice property as described in listing. As we unpacked, we discovered a roach infestation. Multiple rooms on the ground floor had roaches ranging from infant to fully grown. Even though it was after hours, Real Joy immediately sent out property manager to inspect, who agreed with our assessment. After trying unsuccessfully to find us another property, Real Joy gave us a full refund. Real Joy was courteous and helpful and responded quickly to our issue. We found another house in the same neighborhood that cost more, but were able to move in the next day.

Beautiful Home!

We enjoyed our stay very much! We’d definitely stay again. Pros: (1) beds were so comfy! The house was gorgeous and fit our family of 6 with extra room. We felt very at home. Extremely clean. (2) The neighborhood was so pretty and the pool was great, too! Never overly crowded. There were 3 families we traveled with and all of us were I. The neighborhood at different houses and it was easy to ride bikes to each other. (3) The garage was stocked with anything you could need - water tota, beach chairs, etc. (4)The beach that is at the end of the boardwalk from the neighborhood is great! Not too crowded and beautiful. (5)Close to all the things - Seaside shopping & dining, Rosemary Beach, The HUB, etc cons: (1) it is a bit of a trek to the beach. We assumed from the listing it was a hop skip away. It was over a mile from the house to the end of the boardwalk. We did drive to the pool and park then walk or bike the rest of the way but it was pretty tiresome when you’re carrying your beach stuff for the day. (2) I reached out to the management company asking if there was a Keurig coffee maker or just a regular coffee maker and the reply was that they only had a regular. When we arrived there was a Keurig and I wish I had just brought my k-cups. (3) The house only came with 2 cleaning pods for the dishwasher and 2 kitchen trash bags for the week. We had to purchase laundry detergent & more trash bags. Not a huge deal but not typical in our pretty extensive experience with VRBOs. Overall, a wonderful stay. We would stay again with a better plan for how to tote our beach stuff. 🙂

Last summer trip

My sister and I met here with our kids for one last summer trip. The communication before we got there was very poor. I never received my check in information ahead of time. I had to email the night before requesting information. Upon check in (which my sister did not get to the house until after 4:30), the house was not cleaned or ready for check in. Beds were not made and dirty towels were on the floor. Super frustrating. The instructions were we could not get there until 4:00. I called and was told the cleaners would be there. They showed up and my sister was told to leave while they are inside. They left and when she went inside, the master bed was still not made. Called them back again. Megan has worked with us and has been very kind. Saying the beach was “950 yards away” is very deceiving. The boardwalk is 950 yards to the beach, but getting to the boardwalk is a different story. The bikes were very nice to have, but need some general maintenance. All in all, the house was cute but just not overly impressed with the communication and check in process.

Love the location!

The property was very clean and convenient to local restaurants. We loved the neighborhood! This house had it all - from bikes, kayaks to beach toys.

Beautiful property

My husband, son and I just returned from our stay at Sunny Side Up. The house is beautiful and very well equipped with everything you could need. The location is fantastic and the neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful. The stroll to the beach is gorgeous. Thank you for an amazing stay! We'll be back!

Great Family Getaway

We had a great week at Sunny Side Up. The neighborhood was close to many of our favorite restaurants and shops. There were lots of other families, but the pool was never crowded. The home was beautifully decorated and spotless. There was a well stocked kitchen which made staying in easy. Watersound West has a long boardwalk to the beach, but it was an easy bike ride and worth it to feel like you had the beach to yourself. Next door is a state park. There was lots of room to spread out and beautiful lagoons full of wildlife. I would recommend this as a great, safe, quiet place to stay for families.
