"We loved this place. The views are incredible. The owner was in touch and made sure that everything ran smoothly with the caretaker. All the rooms on the top floor open onto a beautiful deck that looks out at the volcano. Santa Cruz is a very small village on the side of the mountain, but no problem if you don't want to walk up, you can go to the lake and walk along the shore to the tuktuks and the pier for water taxis. Tuktuks take you up the mountain to the village, and water taxis take you to the other towns along the shore. This was the most relaxing two weeks I think I've ever experienced. We had explored the other villages on a previous visit to Santa Cruz, so this time we simply relaxed, read, wrote, and painted. A great place to just be. "

"We truly enjoyed our stay at Aviva. Rooms were really great with unique touches. The bed was probably the best I ever had. Great coffee service and lots of little lovely details. We were always addressed by our name and Adam went above and beyond offering advice. Best breakfast by far in the area. Still a little of the beaten path. "

"You will not find a more unique property or fascinating couple who are your hosts. They designed this volcanic tent/cottage resort with a panoramic view of Lake Atitlan and her Volcanoes. An amazing dining hall/bar etched into the volcanic rock with cusine made from scratch from your incredible Hosts Jochen y Gabbie. The sous vide steak/lomito was delicious. The nights under the moon and stars with the sounds of nature all around, make this a must stay at the lake. Hosts will hire private boats to enjoy the rest of the lake. "
