"Beautiful villa only 2.5 miles from center of Lucca, but felt worlds away. Situated in a quiet residential neighborhood, it was conveniently placed close to local amenities (grocery store, etc.). Wonderful outdoor sitting/eating areas and local Osteria (5’ walk) was excellent (had dinner there twice in 4 days). Local church bells tolling on the hour just added to the charm of the setting! "We had a lovely time in the villa. Exactly as advertised. Everything was perfectly clean. Lovely pool. Communication with the owners was excellent, especially when we had a flat tyre. The owner was very helpful and gave us advice on where to get it repaired the following day. The only negative was the rocky road leading to the villa. I know it’s quite usual for this type of road in Italy, beware if you’re driving a nice new car, especially if it’s low to the ground."
