The shuttle wasnt as convenient as we would have liked and other transportation options are limited and taxi is expensive. "

"We have been traveling for more than a month, in many fantastic cities in Spain, France, and Italy. Typically at 4 and 5 star hotels. This was a gem, and the value was outstanding. The property-the building, the rooms, the gardens, the views-is spectacular. The restaurant was amazing. Chef Marco was a one man show, and his braciole was unique and innovative while still reminding me of my Sicilian-American family recipe. He also made the delicious Tiramisu at our table, with flair and charm....

"Villa Daphne was excellent with very helpful staff who all spoke good English. However, no tea/coffee making facilities in room so we took our own travel kettle and tea bags! Choice at breakfast good, but not the best we’ve had. Handy if you don’t want to hire a car, as only a matter of yards from the Recanati bus terminal, with connections to Taormina and beyond as well as the airport bus. "

"This hotel was beautiful. All the rooms had sea views. There was a private beach. The hotel had a large outdoor sitting area with drinks and coffee service, there was also a large indoor seating area as well. The staff was very friendly and helpful."

"Il Sentiero was a wonderful surprise. It is a very serene and picturesque agriturismo with tons of olive and lemon trees. Owner/operator Salvo is a very hospitable and lovely person. We chose to eat there each evening, and he never failed to provide us with tasty meals. We highly recommend this place for visitors to the Catania area. It is located about 40 minutes north of the airport, close to an autostrada exit, and is convenient for visiting places such as Mt. Etna, Taormina, and Messina."

"Hadde 3 fantastiska nätter på Sirina. Mycket trevligt litet hotell. Bra frukost o trevligt att sitta ute i trädgården. Vi hade ett rum med terass mot pool o hav. Sängar helt ok för att vara italien. 10 minuters promenad till stranden. Vill man åka upp till Taormina stad så är det en halvtimmes promenad på delvis mycket trafikerad väg så buss nerifrån tågstation är att föredra."

"Room was clean, rather spartan with a view of an area with discarded furnace and trash. Staff was very nice, with the exception of the man in the breakfast room who refused to let my wife fill her travel cup with water. Really! So we filled two glasses with water and poured it in the cup. Parking not quite as advertised, difficult access to the hotel and they valet your car to a garage. Excellent location but I think we will book elsewhere when we return."
