Our only concern was Hotels.com said it was only 8.8 miles from Castine. False! We are not interested in miles "as the crow flies". Check the map closely. It cost us a lot of extra driving time."

"This hotel was in great condition and just off the main 2-lane highway running through the area. On the other side of the hotel was a harbor view. It was just outside of town. The rooms and property were clean. Housekeeping was available. The laundry on the first floor was clean and the machines worked. I didn’t try the free breakfast but the system was to go to a door and, “tell them what you want.” Both an outdoor and an indoor pool were added perks. The rooms were largish. Mine had a small balcony with chairs - over the parking lot. I used it but think I I might take a harbor view room next time. "
