"Beautiful clean excellently equipped house in Matlock. Great parking, exceptionally clean. Large and spacious with an amazing kitchen and beautiful bathrooms. Lots of hot water. Great communication. Only downside for us as seniors was the very hilly area. We love to walk but the high location of this lovely home meant we preferred to drive, and therefore park, to visit the town. Beautiful house. Thanks"

"Very helpful owner who brought us cake! The property has everything you need for a group of friends, with 9-10 separate beds. Downside is it is bit cramped - particularly the kitchen and the narrow spiral staircase. But for the price it's great and we'll probably go again."

"We stayed in the Lavender Cottage for two nights on a weekend away. The cottage is situated at a short distance from the Southwell Minster and village shops. Southwell itself is quite a compact and cute little village. The cottage is really well presented, clean and well equipped. The host, Rebecca, left us a hamper with bread, juice, milk etc. Everything was very clean and tidy. "Started out disappointed as rented the ENTIRE property. This is not the case - you have shared kitchen with CCTV. Finished disappointed as accused of having child and making a racket. They forgot to check when we left and CCTV cameras - we weren’t even there. As for room - when we arrived heating was not going - they promptly got to fix issue. Room was lovely but hair on bed and floor - not ours! Location is very central- so good "
