"I was surprised that the building is literally in a large parking lot. The lot was quite full, and it took some time to find a parking place. The check in was easy, and the receptionist was friendly and helpful. The room was very sparse, but clean. The bed was not made, sheets and blankets were provided, and the bed was comfortable. This was a convenient place to get a few hours' sleep before our early flight."

"The family room was perfect for the 4 of us! The hosts were all so helpful and had great senses of humor, we really felt welcome. The breakfast was quaint, the warm bread and fresh fruit delicious. The hotel was fully booked but we didn’t hear our neighbors. It was just a short drive to the airport after a very calm and peaceful stay."

"10 minutes from Blue Lagoon and on the way to Selfoss, the guesthouse is in great location. It was clean and well partitioned. We’re a family of 4 with teenage sons. It kept the family together and gave us our privacy. For the price, you cannot get anything like it in Iceland"

"The hotel is close to the airport and is clean. The rooms are very small and has some disrepair. The construction of the hotel has a cheapened modular feel and the walls are a thin metal prefab material for which you can easily hear other guests. Overall, just okay."

"Hotel Vogar sits between Keflavik & Reykjavic. Very convenient access to airport. Its the equivalent of motel in North America. You can park your car outside your door. Room are large size and have all the amenities. It's a well maintained property with friendly staff. There's a Chinese restaurant on a walking distance as well."
