"Perfect as an "overflow" for granddaugter's birthday weekend. Our small family enjoyed being able to celebrate in very pleasant outdoor space, including swimming in the lake, and playing in the yard area. Quiet and peaceful for sleeping, too. Highly recommend! Only drawback: If you are sensitive to scent, the beds, quilts, trashbags, and carpet are all highly scented."

"This cottage is so country, quiet and cozy. The homeowners are close by and very friendly. I stayed for bike week and when rain was abroad they even offered shelter for the bikes! House was very clean and feels like home. "

"You can tell Charlie and kayla are both parents - they really did think of everything, even the small details to cater for a family getaway. Our kids loved the hidden bunk bed room behind the bookshelf door especially! All the games, books and toys kept them busy and we all loved the peaceful location by the river/lake. "I visited the King’s Lakeside Cottage with my husband and 6 year old this weekend and had a wonderful time. The house is spacious and comfortable. We appreciated the views of the lake and the opportunity to play on the private beach. We also took a tour of Locke Lake on the kayaks provided and tried out the paddle boat too. "Overall, we enjoyed our stay. We were delighted to find the beautiful Pemi River just minutes away via a short walk through the woods adjacent to the property. It was an unseasonably warm and wet winter weekend, and the driveway / parking areas were muddy, so just a bit of a warning for other guests to expect this."

"My boyfriend & I stayed at the Pemi Shore Cottages for 2 nights and it was exactly what we was looking for. Privacy in a wooded area with a quick walk to a beach? What more can we ask for :). We brought our two dogs and even that was a great accommodation! Our host John was super friendly and just one call away! I would highly recommend this location if you want to disconnect and relax."

"The house was very nice and comfortable for four of us. Even though it rained each day, there is plenty of nearby shopping. We always try to do short term rentals when we travel. A couple of suggestions - the house had no wash cloths, no can opener, no salt & pepper shakers. Towels racks in the bathrooms would be a huge help. The listing indicated a hot tub and 2+ bathrooms. There was no hot tub and two full baths. There was no welcome booklet with local restaurants, points of interest, wifi...

"Cute place extremely clean and pretty ouch everything is provided so you really don’t need to bring anything - it was quiet at night and other people around are friendly - close to the race track and close romances if you are looking for more of a scene"
