"The property needs a bit of work, especially the kitchen exhaust fan, it was oily and the bath water pressure needs work as well. The sofas needs to be replaced or removed as the wires are pocking. This property is very good if you have a large group or with small children and experience a Japanese House and Culture."
"what a lovely place to stay in furano, I really enjoyed feeding Kirin the horse and the beautiful landscapes surrounding the property. would love to come back in the summer!"
"Cosy home in a serene location. Felt isolated and peaceful. Easy to find via GPS. Very clean.
Would have preferred if some basic condiments (salt, sugar, oil etc) and tea & coffee provided too as otherwise travellers need to buy these just for the short stay. Bathroom was tricky as can't shower without clothes getting wet.
Responsive communication. "
"The property had appeared a bit deteriorated. But other than that, the room was spacious and had everything we needed. It’s located in a beautiful and tranquil area and was close to tourist spots. Staff were polite and helpful. Breakfast was good."
"Run by an elderly lady with 3 foreign students helping. Interesting stay much like farm house. Can improve on check in out process with printed details. "
"Old hotel but clean room. Conveniently located next to Shirahige waterfall. Half hour walk to blue pond. Hotel provides shuttle to and from Biei Station. "
"This house is really nice. It's new, clean and fully furnished. The garden and the view from the house is beautiful. We felt really relaxed there. The only thing I can say is the shower room is too small for a house. Its far from city center, if you want a quiet and relaxing place, this would be a good choice."
"Nice place enjoyed the location, central to skiing areas both resorts and backcountry. Place was very clean and enough room for a group. However, there was no extra blankets or pillow cases for all the extra pillows. Rooms were noisy from the vents when the wind was blowing. Plus there was a coffee make for one person, it would be nice to have a larger coffee make and two hot water kettles for tea etc. Just didn't seems like it was set up for larger groups. Also have no toilet upstairs would be...

"We loved our stay! This was perhaps the most thoughtfully designed house I’ve stayed in. For example, a bathroom with a seat and grab bar (great for anyone sore after a long day, not just seniors); a compact drying rack that somehow fits a full load of laundry; subtle black-cat decor that adds a cute touch but doesn’t clash with the wooden farmhouse aesthetic.
Our favourite part of our stay was interacting with Kyoko-san, who runs the place solo yet is always cheerful and available when you need her! We enjoyed our chats with her and she gives the best recommendations for what to do in Furano!
And the animals! Moon-chan, the resident dog, greeted us each morning and evening, and the property has chickens, a donkey, a goat, and even an owl.
A memorable, feel-good stay from start to finish."

"Our hosts were very welcoming and friendly, and even helped drive us to the train station and stopped at the beautiful snowy sights around Biei along the way.
This is a beautiful location, close to AKJ airport (by car, or by bus with a bit of walking). We decided to stay here because we wanted an easy location to stay the night after arriving in Hokkaido, before heading to the mountains.
It was cozy, quiet, and clean, and we would stay here again happily."
