"As a woman, solo travelling is exciting but it also requires some additional safety measures no matter where you roam. After a long pause on travel in general, I was eager to jump on a plane and explore on my own again. Roxane's casita was the perfect place to rest my head near Melaque. Her gated property is well loved and well maintained, with excellent vibes if you're looking for a solo-lead wellness retreat, complete with roof top yoga & lush gardens. Compared to most rental places, the double bed is plush, cozy and has the appropriate number of pillows (7). The kitchen is also well-equipped with proper knives and at least three different options to make coffee, depending on your preference (French press, drip, AND a Bialetti!). Roxane was an excellent host and excelled in finding the perfect balance between allowing me my privacy and providing helpful suggestions. Don't let the shared space deter you from booking. I found it difficult to leave the property, it was so lovely!"
