Fairmont La Hacienda Costa del Sol

"Here’s a polished, balanced review you could post on Hotels.com: We had a wonderful 2-night stay at Fairmont La Hacienda. The resort is beautiful, everything felt brand new, and the facilities, rooms, cleanliness, and overall atmosphere were excellent. Every member of the staff was incredibly warm, welcoming, and eager to help, which made our stay very enjoyable. The only issue we experienced was at check-in, when our luggage took around 40 minutes to be delivered to our room. As the resort has only recently opened, some of the team seemed a little inexperienced, but they were always friendly and did their best to provide great service. One thing to keep in mind is that the surrounding area is very quiet, with very little to do within walking distance. We visited Sotogrande Marina, which is the main nearby attraction, but a return taxi cost us around €60."

"Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this hotel, and would definitely go back again. The hotel was spotlessly clean, there are all the facilities needed and the staff, on the whole, were brilliant. One small fly in the appointment was at the Mediterraneo Chill Out Terrace when we ordered a Pina Colada and a no alcohol beer. After about 15 minutes the beer arrived but no Pina Colada. Having asked again for the Pina Colada we waited 10 minutes and decided at that point to go to one of the other bars. This was the only down point in 10 days of staying at the hotel. The food in both the Alboran and Thalassa was excellent, both varied and plentiful and the staff there are great. The staff on reception were most helpful and the cleaning staff extremely efficient and friendly. The pools are great and it's a 2 minute walk to the beach. All in all a most enjoyable holiday."

"I wish I could have rated it more then 5 stars! Absolutely incredible. I have had the most wonderful stay The staff are so helpful and welcoming, the rooms are pristene, the location is on point and an absolutely seamless stay. I would 100% recommend. It is family, couple and basically everyone friendly. A rare gem."

"The hotel is located inside a secure, gated community and is conveniently close to grocery stores, restaurants, and local amenities. The beach is just a short walk away, and there is even a wonderful chiringuito (beach bar) within easy walking distance of the hotel. We stayed in a penthouse unit featuring a large balcony equipped with a dining set and sun loungers—perfect for catching some sun. The kitchen was also fully stocked with all the necessary utensils for cooking. While the property is tucked away in a quiet, peaceful area, everything is just a short drive away if you have a car. From there, it was an easy drive to the Rock of Gibraltar, and we even took a day trip to Estepona, which was another magnificent place to explore. The staff were wonderful. We experienced a brief Wi-Fi issue one night, but it was completely out of the hotel's hands as external contractors were doing utility work nearby. It certainly wasn't a reflection of the hotel’s own setup. Overall, I highly recommend this place!"
