"House was not clean. We spent time vacuuming and cleaning the kitchen. Stovetop vent had fallen off and a hose was left. Caretaker turned on heat and opened radiators. In the morning many had leaked especially the living room. We spent an hour moving furniture and mopping. We were told to use catch basins and to continue to use radiators. "This lovely house truly lives up to it's title. The views are beautiful and never the same as the light changes throughout the day. We watched amazing thunderstorms break over the lake and the sun rise through the mist. The village location is quiet and authentic and very pretty . "Our family was fortunate enough to rent Villa Olivia in Meina for most of August. The villa was extraordinary, perched on a hill overlooking Lago Maggiore. Large rooms, nice bedrooms & bathrooms and well-stocked kitchens.
