"This is an outstanding property, I'm glad to say it exceeded my expectations. Paquera CR isn't the tourist mecca, IE an all inclusive. If you want to enjoy CR with a local feel and experience this is a place for you. The owners were responsive to questions and w/recommendations sheet to go. We loved CURU and the wildlife refuge, great hiking trails, great beach.."

"Staff were exceptionally kind and helpful in all aspects of their service. Small resort with few guests meant that the service felt very personal and the staff were very attentive to everyone staying there. Everything was very clean, and the one restaurant on the property had great food. There are limited dining options onsite and in the immediate area, but we were happy with the restaurant. It is a little off the beaten path, and not easily walkable to beaches or other amenities, so a car would be ideal if staying here. Staff at the front desk able to assist in booking local tours, but a highlight of the property is that we had the place practically to ourselves all day when most travelers left or were off doing excursions "

"We were surprised at our room - this is a place we could live in. It has a beautiful view of the ocean and the tidal slough, it's quiet, it has a nice kitchen, and is laid out well. The restaurant was nice and the staff friendly. We had 2 pools to choose from, and took advantage of them every day. The grounds were very pretty and well-maintained. It was easy to get in and out and conventient to stores and sights in Puntarenas."

"Last night, I stayed in an absolutely horrible hotel. It was beyond filthy, completely run-down, and it felt like it hadn’t been cleaned or maintained in years. The sheets were questionable, the bathroom was a complete disaster, and there was a strange, unpleasant smell lingering in the air. The walls were stained, the furniture was falling apart, and the whole place had a creepy, uncomfortable vibe. It honestly felt like no one had stayed there in years. But the worst part? The room was full of spiders! They were on the walls, in the corners of the ceiling, and I even spotted a couple on the bed! I didn’t know whether to sleep or stay up all night on guard to make sure none of them crawled on me. Honestly, in my entire life, I’ve never seen such a disgusting, run-down, and insect-infested place. It was a complete nightmare!"
