"We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Athena in Siena. The service was exceptional, the staff were warm, welcoming and genuinely helpful throughout our visit. The location was fantastic for exploring Siena, with everything within walking distance, while the hotel itself provided a comfortable and relaxing place to come back to after a day of exploring. We also loved the beautiful views from the terrace which was the perfect spot to unwind with a drink and take in the scenery. Sunset was especially beautiful and I would recommend calling the terrace staff themselves to reserve your seat. They are VERY busy up there so please exercise patience and kindness to the server and bartender as they work so hard to get your orders to you as quickly as possible. Self parking our car was a huge bonus as we rented a vehicle to explore Tuscany. A lovely hotel, a great location and wonderful service. We would happily stay here again when visiting Siena!"

"Superior room not great, Very small with leaking shower and other issues. Upgraded to suite on 5th floor which was excellent. Very spacious, huge bathroom with bath and walk in shower. Great views and comfortable bed."

"We enjoyed the pool upon outr arrival as our room was not ready at 3:00 pm. The host was very polite and answered our questions. This place is absolutley beautiful. We sat on the terrace by our room and drank coffee and enjoyed the view of Siena in the distance. We ate dinner at the restaurant and the food was average. The eggplant and zucchini parmesan was inedible. Very chewy and tough. The tuscan ribs were not meaty at all and tough to chew. The morning breakfast however was incredible and made up for the dinner. Make sure your room has AC (ours did) but I did speak to some other guests who did not have AC in their room and said it was uncomfortable. All in all, a great spot. I recommend."

"We loved our stay here. Paola who oversees the property is such a lovely hard working woman. The view is magical and was the Tuscany experience we were looking for. It is not far from the old city and parking. It is 5 minute drive to a supermarket. The space was clean and cozy with lots of storage in the studio. The outdoor patio was lovely with a table, umbrella and loungers. We especially appreciated the full efficient kitchen. It is an older establishment but well maintained. There was a washing machine available for use. We would recommend this property for a rural experience within 15 minute drive of the old town of Siena."

"Our stay was fantastic. The room was genuinely luxurious with marble fittings everywhere. The staff were brilliant and really knew what to recommend. The breakfast was good but rather crowded on the day we were there."

"The castle is tucked right in the middle of the vineyards and looks exactly like the photos! Having breakfast in the castle hall has such a cool, old-school charm. The pool is incredible; we had a family photoshoot there! Plus, it’s just 15 minutes away from Siena...The Best of Mas team was super efficient, even though communication with the property owner wasn't exactly seamless."

"This is the third time I have stayed at Belvedere. My guests and I love it so much. The location is perfect, the view unbelievable and the facilities excellent. Since the last time I visited, the hosts have installed air conditioning, which (since we visited at the hottest time of year) improved things still further.The inside accommodation is spacious: three generous bedrooms, a large living-room area, and charming kitchen. Outside, there is a terrace with spectacular views, a couple of sun-loungers, and much-needed washing facilities. Even writing this makes me wish I were still there.There are so many places to explore nearby. There are some obvious 'targets', such as Siena itself, San Gimignano and Firenze. But so many other beautiful places too: Monteriggioni, the beautiful village of Torri, Montalcino, Arrezzo ... the list is almost endless.This year, I had the pleasure of meeting Carola and Adam, our hosts, and their lovely children, who were staying in the downstairs apartment. Nothing is ever too much trouble for them, and they made us all feel so welcome. I cannot thank them enough.No-one who stays in Belvedere will ever regret it, and they will take away memories to last for years."
