The Space:
Solís Beach Flat is a modern and well kept 2 bed 2 bath apartment on Isla Verde Beach that offers great beach views from every room, a fully stocked kitchen for extended stays, and a washer and dryer. Isla Verde Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches on the island and is arguably the best urban beach in the Caribbean. The apartment is within walking distance to multiple dining and nightlife options, including various hotel casinos and is 5 minutes from the airport. . The apartment includes a dedicated parking for one vehicle and comfortably sleeps 4 adults in 1 king bed and 1 queen bed.

PLEASE NOTE: This building was built in the 1980's. The apartment was remodeled in 2016 and has been kept in great condition but the common areas of the building are dated.

BUILDING CONSTRUCTION NOTICE: We’d like to inform you that the building is currently undergoing improvements to the handicap ramps and surrounding sidewalks. You may experience some construction activity or noise during the day while this work is being completed.

NO SMOKING on the balconies and common areas (cigarettes, tobacco, marijuana, or cannabis). Will be fined $50.00 instantly.

The building does not allow anyone to hang clothes, towels, mops, or other artifacts on the walls or balcony railings. Will be fined $50.00 instantly.

LIVING AREAS

Enter the flat and you are greeted with beautiful beach and ocean views as you look across the dining room, living room, and balcony.  The tropical chic decor along with its carefully selected wall arts by local photographer ensures the living areas pop with personality.  The dining room comfortably sits 4 adults and has a convenient opening to the kitchen counter so you can serve meals buffet style. The living room has a massive 65-inch flat-screen TV with cable and Netflix and a Bose sound-bar with Bluetooth connectivity so you can play your favorite tunes as you enjoy the view and trade winds. The living room also has a wonderful layout for socializing. Enter the balcony and you will feel like you are literally on the sand. It does not get closer to the beach than this!

 
BEDROOMS

The master bedroom has 1 king bed with epic views of Isla Verde Beach. There is a flat-screen TV with cable and Netflix. There is also a brand new private full bathroom with a rain shower head and colorful European tiles. It is important to point out that the master bedroom does not have a closet. There are drawers to store clothes and a portable clothing rack to hang shirts, blouses, etc. The 2nd bedroom has a queen bed and spectacular beach views. There is a large closet in this room. The flat also has a 2nd dedicated full bathroom with a rain shower head and traditional creole tiles. 

PACK AND PLAY (SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY):

We can leave a complimentary Pack and Play at the property upon request. This should be requested upon booking or no later than 5 days before arrival. Pack and Plays are subject to availability.

 
KITCHEN

Solís Beach Flat has a brand new European sleek style kitchen with quartz countertops, LED lighting, stovetop, oven, dishwasher, full fridge with ice maker, microwave oven, and coffee maker. The kitchen has everything you will need for an extended stay. The kitchen opens up to the dining and living room so you are always socializing with the rest of the group. There is a washer & dryer in the unit, great for extended stays. 

 
GETTING AROUND

We recommend moving around via Uber if staying within the general Isla Verde and San Juan area. If you decide to rent a car, please keep in mind that this apartment has one assigned parking.

The Neighborhood:
LOCATION

Solís Beach Flat is located on Isla Verde Beach, Puerto Rico. This is arguably the best urban beach in the Caribbean. The beach is 1.5 miles long, and the Isla Verde strip has a long list of dining and nightlife options. The apartment is 5 minutes from the airport and has car rentals, supermarkets, a Walgreens, and multiple hotels and casinos within walking distance.

There are many things to do in the surrounding areas; here are some of our favorites:

Chill at the beach! It is one of our favorite beaches in Puerto Rico and a must-do if you are staying at Solís Beach Flat. The apartment has beach chairs, towels, and coolers for a long day at the beach.
Lunch or dinner at La Placita de Santurce, a local market with 20+ restaurants and awesome nightlife. We love Santaella restaurant, a local cuisine with a modern approach located in La Placita.
Shop at  The Mall of San Juan. This brand new mall is a 10-minute drive from the apartment and has excellent shops and dining options.
Explore the El Yunque Rainforest. El Yunque is an easy 30-minute drive from the property and is the only rainforest under US Flagship.
Spend a day in Old San Juan. Solís Beach Flat is a 15 min drive away from the oldest city in all of the US. There is a lot of history and great food and drinks to savor.

Other Things to Note:
TRAVEL INSURANCE

We strongly recommend that all guests purchase travel insurance, especially during the peak months of Hurricane Season, which are July to October. Travel insurance is inexpensive and will reimburse travelers for most expenses associated with canceling travel outside of the cancellation window; however, this will depend on what the coverage purchased covers. Make sure to review and understand the options before purchase. Disclaimer: we are not associated with any travel insurance companies.


AMENITIES

West Indies strives to deliver top-notch service and amenities to guarantee our guests feel at home while visiting our properties. All of our properties are outfitted with freshly laundered bed linens and towels. We provide 2 bath towels per guest and 1 beach/pool towel per guest. Our properties typically include at least 2 beach chairs and an ice cooler.

West Indies provides the disposable amenities necessary to get your vacation off to a comfortable start. These amenities include 1 set of hotel-size soaps and shampoos per bathroom, 3 garbage bags, 1 roll of paper towel, 2 rolls of toilet paper per bathroom, 1 dish soap, 1 dish sponge, and a small amount of laundry detergent. We do not provide unlimited disposable amenities. It is your responsibility to review what is included in the property and stock with whatever else may be needed for the duration of your stay.


HOUSE RULES

Check-in time is at 4:00 pm
Check-out time is at 11:00 am
NO SMOKING: Smoking is strictly prohibited. A smoking fee of $500 will be charged if violated.
NO PETS: No pets are allowed at any time. A $300 fine will be charged if violated and you will be expelled from the property.
All bookings are contingent on signing a short-term rental agreement sent via email. It must be signed within 48 hours of booking or before entering the property, whichever happens first.
Maximum occupancy of 4 adults/children at all times. This includes visitors. 
Max. occupancy is strictly enforced, and exceeding it may result in immediate cancellation of booking or being expelled from the property.
Quiet hours from 10 pm to 8 am, no parties or noisy activities during these hours.
Towels and linens must only be used for their intended purpose. Do not stain them with food, grease, or any other substance. Do not use towels to clean up any mess; stained towels/linens will be charged.
Subletting not allowed
Do not hang towels from the balcony or windows.
