"The unit is still being developed. We liked the country setting. But the dirt roads to get there are bumpy. Good value for the price. Very friendly & helpful hosts. Water pressure in the area is extremely low, something the hosts have no control over. But that makes taking a shower a challenging task. "We loved our stay at Gran Martina's abode. It is located in downtown San Ignacio with just a short walk to the tour agencies, groceries, local shops. It has a full kitchen which is important to us as we like to cook most meals while enjoying some of the local fare at restaurants."

"Mahogany Hall is a quaint little boutique hotel on the Mopan river. The Jaguar room is a lovely little mahogany queen bed room with mahogany floors an armoire with TV and lovely mahogany night stands. The room affords a nice sized bathroom with shower. The room is much smaller than the Colonial room but walking out the door is what it’s all about. The second floor offers spectacular views of the Mopan river.
